Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:

- Carry out a range of demanding clerical, data input, reconciliation, data administration and monitoring services, ensuring that the work is completed accurately, on time and in adherence to all specified Bank processes, procedures, standards and relevant external regulations.
- Ensure that the work processed by self and the team adheres to all specified Bank processes, procedures, standards, and relevant external requirements.
- Identify and suggest improvements to new and existing processes / procedures / systems and the way in which the team operates to improve service quality and process efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of market conditions, bank products and services to ensure that best practice is adopted where required.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new or upgrades to existing IT systems and new products including the performance of robust user testing in accordance with bank standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and escalating irregularities to management and other regulating units/parties.
- Provide back-up cover for other colleagues absent due to sickness, training, annual leave etc.
- Provide business support during weekends, bank holidays and other times when the Bank would usually be closed in Bahrain, but markets are open in other parts of the world
- Respond to a range of demanding enquiries, clarifying customers and other departments/units understanding of the information being given.
- Undertake duties at a similar or higher level as required.
- Undertake delivery of designated activities in order to provide an effective service to other departments/units in accordance with agreed service standards.
- When required support line management with the implementation of changes in own work area.
- As directed, support/undertake the timely and accurate delivery of all requested projects and initiatives ensuring these are within specification and budgeted costs.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge:

Excellent understanding of Treasury Banking products, services, operations, and technology gained from hands on experience in operational roles.
Basic Knowledge and understanding of relevant accounting standards for Treasury products.
Oral Communication: Uses clear, concise and jargon-free speech to explain products/services/procedures and resolve problems.
Uses effective telephone manner with customer/colleagues.
Written Communication: Produces written responses to enquiries using appropriate wording. Produces clear and accurate written material.
Self / Work Organization: Knows how to prioritize tasks and diarize effectively to achieve deadlines. When appropriate co-ordinates and allocates tasks, ensuring full and effective use of resources available.
Software Applications: Has a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office software including Visio and systems appropriate to the role and can input and extract information to provide a variety of reports.
Performance Review & Development: Knows and uses methods of collecting objective data to contribute towards the review process.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree or qualification in the following fields Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business or Risk Management

Experience:

2-3 years of experience in Treasury Operations

Task Responsibilities:

You are part of the team responsible for the operational handling of Cargolux Airlines within the UAE. You are an enthusiastic, customer-friendly, proactive, inquisitive team player. You are at home in the world of trucks and planes and are able to switch gears. It goes without saying that the customer is king.

Some of your tasks are

Load planning / Load Supervision of all Cargolux flights
Ensure the safe and reliable completion of all ground activities
Monitoring and coordinating warehouse/cargo handling activities in collaboration with our suppliers
Ensuring timely execution of all Cargolux flights
Coordinating apron activities and services with GHAs, maintenance, flight operations and other service providers
Ensuring that flight operation activities are carried out according to the Cargolux processes and procedures.
Coordinating between import and export departments
Coordinating Road Feeder Service (Trucking) activities
Coordinating ULD-control activities
Performing administrative work
Providing customer service to customers
Gaining and maintaining professional and technical knowledge

Essential Requirements For The Position:

At least 1 year experience in a similar role
Experience and knowledge (certification) with regards to load planning and/or load supervision are considered an advantage
A (completed) education in logistics, air freight or transport is a plus
Good team spirit
Be available for flexible services.

Your key responsibilities

Build and maintain strong networks internally and externally

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial accounting and reporting.
Ensure that work is of high quality, delivered in a timely fashion, and in compliance with EY policies.
Work with other EY locations, service lines, and specialists to deliver a fully integrated service offering.
Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to the client.
Deliver effective execution of the FAAS service delivery framework, including supporting major transactions with strategic insights and financial advisory expertise.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification required (CPA, CMA).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, specifically in providing accounting support, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and/or IPSAS standards.
Previous experience in a Big Four accounting firm is highly desirable.
Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of IFRS and IPSAS standards.
Strong technical skills and recognized cautious risk management ability
Solid team working skills with the ability to work with different people from diverse backgrounds in the diverse FAAS team
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
Ability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary
Keen to develop technical and other attributes of assigned team members
