Document Controller, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Description

Establishing and maintaining a library of reference documents. Be aware of the various record keeping and reporting procedures of the company’s quality standards.

Correlating information relating to projects and proposal records.

Type, copy, distribute and file the project correspondence and meeting minutes.

Assist in the preparation of the minutes of meetings with the project managers and directors.

Assists in preparing a “mock up” for operations manuals (e.g., develops the index, binders, dividers, etc., and ensures timely printing and assembly) and/or job data books (pulls drawings and documents, develops index, cover sheet, dividers, etc., ensures timely reproduction and assembly).

Arranges document cataloguing, packing, and long-term storage or disposal of appropriate engineering documents at time of project closeout.

Prepares transmittals for engineering documents and requisitions.

Establishes and maintains files and computerized indexes for active engineering documents. Generates electronic/hardcopy reports as needed by the project managers or directors.

Maintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project, and supplier requirements.

Office administration duties, office furniture, office well-being. maintenance requests, and materials orders, etc

Maintain a list of office furniture and equipment together with a list of site offices work station equipment, and monitor them.

Assist the office secretary in her/his duties to achieve office requirements and office demands, including coverage.

Ensure a cohesive team work with the secretary and projects administrators and managers. Maintain excellent serviceability to the entire Environmental department team.

Assist in arranging for social activities when requested by the Manager Environmental Engineering

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar document management role, preferably in a site-based environment

Strong proficiency with document management systems and MS Office applications

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

Professional communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with diverse teams

Familiarity with construction, industrial, or project-based documentation standards

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and document retention protocols

Preferred experience with project management software and digital document management tools

Ability to work independently and take ownership of document control processes

Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic site environment

Construction Manager, Sharjah, UAE

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the site execution of a mega-scale high-rise building project in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing 50+ storey towers, deep basements, structural works, MEP coordination, façade activities, site logistics, and large construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day site execution and ensure works are delivered according to programme, quality, and safety requirements.

Drive structural floor cycles and monitor daily/weekly construction targets.

Manage deep excavation, shoring, dewatering, raft foundations, and basement construction.

Coordinate structural, MEP, façade/curtain wall, and finishing interfaces.

Manage tower cranes, hoists, material movement, manpower, and overall site logistics.

Coordinate subcontractors, foremen, suppliers, consultants, and project teams.

Ensure timely closure of NCRs, inspections, ITRs, and QA/QC requirements.

Enforce HSE standards, including lifting operations, working at height, edge protection, and heat-stress controls.

Prepare and drive 3-week look-ahead plans and daily site targets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

10–15 years of site-based construction experience.

Minimum 5–7 years as a Construction Manager on major high-rise projects.

Proven UAE experience in 50+ storey towers and deep basement construction.

Strong knowledge of modern formwork systems such as Doka / PERI, post-tensioning, high-strength concrete, and concrete pumping.

Good working knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project.

NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification is an advantage.

Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and site-management skills.

Fluent English; Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic would be an advantage.

We need a QA/QC Lead, 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project specific QAQC plans tailored to the unique requirements of buildings construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate QAQC processes into project schedules.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections at various stages of construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Implement corrective actions when deviations are identified.
  • Establish and enforce standards for materials and workmanship in accordance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the use of approved materials.
  • Maintain detailed QAQC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Provide regular reports to project stakeholders on QAQC performance.
  • Conduct training sessions for project teams and subcontractors on QAQC procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability on the project site.
  • Stay informed about relevant local and international regulations and standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to address quality-related concerns and ensure alignment with project goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in QAQC management, with a focus on schools and car parking construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices.
  • Professional certifications in QAQC or related fields are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using QAQC software and tools.

Job Description
The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and controlling the project schedule to ensure timely delivery in line with client requirements. The role involves monitoring progress, identifying risks and delays, and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to maintain alignment. They assess the impact of changes, implement recovery strategies where required, and provide clear, accurate reporting to senior management and the client. Ultimately, the Planning Manager ensures the project remains on track from a planning and scheduling perspective.

Responsibilities
Review/comment the Baseline Schedule and other schedule and report to the Controls Manager.
Review and continuously monitor, against approved schedules, the Contractor’s major construction progress and ensure equipment and manpower are adequate or in case of any shortage report to Controls Manager.
Review in detail the recovery schedules as submitted by the Contractors and ensure manpower and site supervision staff are increased properly.
Regular visits to project sites to validate whether the progress of work on site is in compliance with approved schedules, major milestones have been met and report deficiencies to Construction Manager.
Review all daily, weekly and monthly reports as submitted by Contractor and report to Controls  Manager any deficiency or non-compliance.
Review any claim involving time impact as submitted by the Contractor and report his assessment to Controls  Manager.
Review field design changes and Trend Notices and assess time impact if any.
Advise the Construction Manager of any foreseen slippage of progress and corrective actions to be taken.
Attend weekly progress meeting and monthly Executive meetings and participate in preparing the agenda.
Assist Controls Managers during the preparation of Monthly Progress reports and Monthly Executive Presentations.
Reviews the commissioning plans as submitted by the Contractor and ensure its compliance with the approved Baseline  schedule.
Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the Close-Out Reports as submitted by the Contractor.
Qualifications
Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher.
A qualified Engineer with a minimum of 12 to 15 years’ experience Planning works in similar Projects. 
Must be fully conversant with Primavera, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, etc.
