Description

Medical Officer – Inpatient Precertification is responsible for managing the Inpatient Precertification cases while ensuring that departmental goals, timeline of activities, and compliance measures are met.

 

What you do

•Precertification team is functional on 24/7 basis. Therefore the Medical Officer will be working on flexible shift basis as per the schedule provided by the Team Leader.

•Adjudicates Cases at IP precertification level, authorizes decision within the stipulated turnaround time & with the highest quality standards in view with the policy terms and conditions.

•Performing complete file review with regards to the multidisciplinary notes, TPR charts, physician order’s notes, lab reports, radiology reports, drug chart sheets, consultation notes, nursing notes, progress notes, etc.

•Requesting any medical documentation or finding any missing document which is essential in decision making.

•Performing review of DRG Severity of Illness (SOI) in line with revision of CPT codes / ICD codes, which are being up-coded by the provider – if required discussion with the treating doctor and the medical coders.

•Performing utilization review for DRG cases and FFS cases with regards to and not limited to final bill review + consumables mark ups + non covered item/services + overutilization of services.

•Performing review of claims as per CPT and ICD coding guidelines in line with insurance regulators (DHA,DOH/HAAD,MOH).

•Adhering to the cost containment protocols for medical management cases.

•Referring cases for second opinion when deemed necessary to confirm the best mode of management – also for cost containment to lesser Negotiating factor (NF) facilities within the member’s network or option for home country treatment.

•AI READINESS Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.

 

What you bring

•Bachelor’s of Pharmacy / Dentistry / Medicine / Nursing / Physiotherapist / Paramedics

•01-02 years of Medical Practical Experience (reputable insurance provider, broker or a TPA experience a plus) OR Entry Level

•Physically fit to carry out duties.

•Certified Medical Coder [Preferable]

•Legally permitted to work in the country of operations.

•Physically fit to carry out duties.

•Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills.

Job Overview:
The Automation Process Lead owns the strategic automation agenda within Health Operations, driving scalable process transformation, governance control, and measurable value creation through digital enablement and AI integration.

What you Do:

Responsible for insurance-related accounting activities, reconciliations, reporting, and

supporting compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

Priority Responsibility/Tasks (( not limited to the

following) Scope of Responsibility/Tasks)

1- Manage insurance accounting entries andreconciliations.

2- Monitor insurance accruals and settlements.

3- Coordinate with brokers and insurance providers.

4- Support audit and IFRS compliance requirements

5- Prepare insurance-related financial reports.

6- Monthly coordinate to review the renewal of the insurance policies with operation team.

7- Ad hoc Analysis of partial loss or total loss cases

8- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business and financial plans.

9- Prepare and coordinate health insurance monthly reconciliation.

10- Review monthly reconciliation of rebates and follow up on pending balances.

Educational Qualification (Academics)

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Insurance, or related field

Competencies

Knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles

ERP systems experience (Kastle & Orion preferred)

Strong Excel and reporting skills

Analytical and reconciliation capabilities

Managing People, communication, and teamwork skills

 Experience

Communication Skills, Ability to Analyze, Decision

Claims Quality & Support Associate, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Description

The Claims Quality & Support Associate is responsible for activities concerned with review and inspection to apply quality standards for operational claim processes and adjudication.

Key responsibilities/What you do:

Prepare concise documentation and audit reports, including recommendations to claims management for improvements with corrective action plans;

Audit, assess, and monitor providers and payers, to include but not limited to physicians, inpatient, outpatient, ancillary, behavioral healthcare, laboratory, etc. medical records, and independently codes, and abstracts.

Analyze inpatient and outpatient medical records using most current International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9/ICD-10),Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Health Care Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Universal Billing (UB) and other codes, regulatory and contractual requirements, and generally accepted coding practices.

Verify and validate claims documents received through multiple channels to rule out possibility of documentation / coding errors or other inconsistencies that may occur in case of suspected fraud and abuse cases.

 

AI READINESS Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use

 

Key requirements/What you bring:

Bachelor’s Degree (Medical Degree or Nursing)

Minimum 5 years’ experience from Providers/TPA’s in processing/adjusting claims (e.g. ICD-9/10, CPT, HCPC)

Minimum 3 years’ experience auditing experience

Demonstrated understanding of medical claims processes and procedures, and ability to recognize and interpret variances

Legally permitted to work in the country of operations.

Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general internet navigation and research skills
