Contract Manager, Muscat, Oman

We need a Contract Manager

Wood is recruiting for a Contract Manager to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work in Muscat, Oman. This is a secondment role to OQ in Oman. Assignment duration is one year.

The Contract Manager will be responsible:

Administer project contracts during execution and post-award stages.
Manage contractual correspondence, deliverables, obligations, milestones, variations, claims, change orders, and payment-related contractual matters.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to ensure contract compliance, proper records, and timely resolution of day-to-day contractual issues.
Lead contract operation and administration for FEED/EPC contractors during post-award execution.
Manage commercial interfaces with contractors, including instructions, clarifications, and performance issues.
Evaluate and support the negotiation of variations, claims, and change orders.
Ensure contractual compliance with FEED/EPC obligations and milestones.
Support cost control and forecasting in coordination with Project Controls.
Maintain contract records, correspondence, and audit trails.
Identify and manage commercial risks and mitigation actions at project level.
Support EPC tender readiness strategy, ensuring alignment with lessons learned from FEED.
Participate in EPC ITT preparation and ensure completeness and integrity.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of experience in similar projects
Ability to manage multi-discipline team during FEED and EPC phases

Ensure adherence to project schedule and cost control by coordination with project control team
Flexibility to work in different locations

ABOUT YOU:

10–15 years’ experience in marketing & communications, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
Mandatory luxury hospitality experience.
GCC experience required; Qatar preferred.
Strong exposure to lifestyle, membership, F&B, fashion, or cultural brands.
Experience working in luxury hospitality, fashion, or art, ideally with exposure in New York or Hong Kong.
Experience managing multiple agencies and multi‑market PR (GCC, UK, US).

About the Firm

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading international law firm at a pivotal moment in its regional growth. The firm recently expanded into Saudi Arabia, opening two new offices in the Kingdom. Its Saudi practice advises across corporate, transport, marine, energy and infrastructure, construction, litigation, private wealth and finance. This is a firm that combines genuine international reach with deep local knowledge, and its Saudi Arabia presence represents a significant and well-supported long-term investment.

The Role

This is a newly created position, reflecting the continued growth of the firm's Riyadh office. The successful candidate will support two Partners plus team, covering Corporate, Energy and Infrastructure. This role encompasses a broad range of administrative, financial and business development responsibilities. The working week is Sunday to Thursday, with hybrid working available: three days in the office and two from home.

Key Responsibilities

Manage complex diaries across multiple time zones, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring meetings run smoothly
Arrange international travel, visas and itineraries in compliance with firm policy
Prepare meeting materials, track actions and ensure timely follow-up
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, supporting business development activities including

research, pitch preparation and event coordination

Maintain and update the CRM system to ensure client information is accurate and current
Oversee new client and matter onboarding, ensuring compliance requirements are met and documentation is completed accurately
Coordinate billing processes using Aderant, including generating prebills, preparing invoices and attending WIP and credit control meetings
Act as gatekeeper for fee earners, managing correspondence with discretion and drafting high-quality documents and communications
Provide general office operations support and liaise with regional finance and BD teams, contributing to the smooth running of the office during its current growth phase

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Saudi National
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Legal Assistant, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
Excellent academic background
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using a billing system such as Aderant
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Fully bilingual in Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Professional and confident, with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with partners and clients
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
A collaborative, can-do approach with a willingness to take initiative and contribute to a growing office
