Logistics Project Manager, Dammam, KSA

We need a Logistics Project Manager,

Logistics Project Manager is responsible for managing logistics related activities (inbound, outbound, V2V, repairs, warranty, etc.) and projects for SEC 2 Bulk Program in a manner that shall meet the business fulfilment requirements. Responsible for leading KSA logistics activities from POI to site based on DDP incoterms. LPM is accountable for logistics scope from factories to DDP delivery location, LPM will also assist in operational and financial KPIs, such as deflation, EAC, $/kg, demerges, premium charges, etc. LPM will also be responsible for interfacing all logistics matters with customer/EPC, claims, and insurance claims.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Primary interface with the customer and business teams for developing and managing logistics plans for various projects within the SEC 2 Bulk Program, actively engaged on all related internal and external meetings
Principal lead for managing the OTR activities, suggest consolidation plans, prepare and execute shipping transactions
Technical, logistics and operational interface between the customer, Internal Project Managers and Project Managers in Saudi, and global logistic coordinators
In coordination with SEC 2 Logistics team in France and KSA supply chain leader, supervise and control all project and fulfilment related milestones such as scopes, timelines, expenses and risks impacting projects or outages
Must identify, log, and track risks & opportunities and report regularly to the Project Managers
In coordination with customs specialists, verify and ensure all import documentation issued by the suppliers / factories is accurate, completed and according to the importing regulatory standards
Cooperate with the customs team and with other internal/external stakeholders to ensure on time custom clearance and delivery to site with emphasis on avoiding additional costs such as penalties, storage and demurrages.
Follow and adhere existing logistics best practices of GEV in Saudi Arabia
Single point of contact for internal and external customers where any logistics solutions are required
Support all documentations and organize the local executions within Saudi Arabia’s 14 projects
Issue and update Master Packing List to the customer
Coordinate with Sourcing and Supply Chain to ensure all delivery and shipment release requirements are met
Ensure corrective actions and containment plans are in place to avoid incident repeatability
Complete administrative tasks (shipping, cost, tracking number registration etc.) as required, maintain the necessary reporting and analytics such as EAC (estimated at completion), actual and premium costs
Be actively involved in logistics related project initiatives; act as subject matter of expert to drive operational excellence
Be the contact for freight forwarders representatives
With KSA supply chain leader support, ensure all logistics transactions are executed in accordance with GEV & Country Compliance regulations
Collaborate with fulfilment, sourcing, customs team & other key stakeholders to implement ways to reduce overall logistics & customs cycle time
Actively pursue cost avoidance methodology during logistics execution phase
Follow proper escalation channels within and outside GEV for all conflict resolutions
Compliance to GEV EHS life saving rule and STOP WORK culture

Required Qualifications

College or university degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 years work experience in logistics, with specific focus on energy projects in Saudi Arabia
Experience interfacing with customs teams and brokers
Experience on SEC / EPC energy projects
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and forwarders across the globe
Fluent in Arabic and English (verbal and written)
Applicants must have the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Desired Characteristics

Proficient communication skills, self-motivated, and ability to handle multiple priorities
Integrated Management Systems knowledge (pref. SAP, ORACLE)
Mentoring or training abilities
LEAN Principles experience is preferred
Self-disciplined and defining functional goals in accordance with our contract objectives
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The Context

Abu Dhabi Airports, the government entity responsible for managing and developing Abu Dhabi's airport infrastructure including Zayed International Airport, is looking for a Logistics Manager to direct all warehouse operations and logistics activities across its storage locations. The role covers material management, fleet operations, staff leadership, safety compliance, and ERP-driven inventory control within a critical aviation infrastructure environment.

What the Role Covers

Warehouse & Logistics Operations Leadership

You plan, coordinate, and oversee all warehouse and logistics activities including receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and distribution of materials. You optimize warehouse space utilization, manage scrap handling and disposal processes including scrap tender sales, and oversee maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and machinery.

Team Management & Development

You lead, motivate, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff, conduct regular team meetings, identify training needs, and implement performance improvement initiatives. You measure staff KPIs and provide ongoing performance feedback and development support.

Fleet & Procurement Coordination

You manage Abu Dhabi Airports fleet operations and coordinate with procurement and operational departments to ensure smooth material support across all departments. You resolve operational and material-related issues in collaboration with end-users and procurement teams.

ERP, Inventory Control & Financial Management

You oversee inventory documentation, ERP transactions, and audit records, monitor slow-moving and non-moving items, and manage budgets and statistical and financial records. You monitor outsourced service provider performance against agreed standards.

HSE & Compliance

You organize safety drills, promote safety awareness in coordination with HSE/AES teams, support risk assessment reviews, and ensure adherence to HSE procedures with corrective actions addressed promptly.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent

Specialized training in Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or Inventory Management

7+ years in a supervisory role within warehouse operations, logistics, or related field

Strong practical knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics systems

ERP system proficiency with solid MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

Knowledge of warehouse safety systems, first aid, and fire prevention practices

English and Arabic language skills — written and spoken

Strong judgment, problem-solving, and negotiation capabilities

INTRODUCTION TO GGGI

Based in Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate, Oman, the Admin and Logistics Senior Assistant will provide essential administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation for the ARISE Program. Reporting directly to the Financial Control Senior Associate, the Admin and Logistics Senior Assistant will execute multi-step transactions across a range of administrative, financial, logistical and procurement processes, ensuring that all project operational support activities fully comply with the policies, procedures, guidelines, rules and regulations of GGGI.

PURPOSE

The Admin and Logistics Senior Assistant will be based in Salalah, in Dhofar Governorate. Reporting to the Financial Control Senior Associate, he/she will execute day to day administrative tasks, support financial reporting and planning, and manage logistical processes related to the ARISE program on green growth and climate action planning and implementation.

He/she will execute multi-step transactions and also provide operational support for travel, conference, meetings preparation, onsite events, and other pertinent tasks, including for the regional project, ensuring accuracy and quality across project delivery while meeting institutional policies, standards and donor requirements

ENGAGEMENT

Provide complete information and explain administrative, logistical, and procurement process requirements to internal colleagues, external vendors, and project partners, resolving issues of data clarity within standard and operational situations.

Coordinate with GGGI HQ and regional operations teams (Finance, Procurement) to facilitate administrative activities in the country.

Communicate issues and risks that will affect consistent program/project delivery and report to the Financial Control Senior Associcate and relevant staff.

Communicate programme needs to service providers/suppliers and ensure that services/products are delivered in line with established agreements.

Coordinate closely with the Government of Oman, all GGGI country team, and other partners to schedule meetings, arrange workshops, and organize events and support day-to-day program operations

DELIVERY

Manage routine local procurement of all necessary goods and services for the program with a focus on quality and value for money.

Maintain program filing systems and safeguard standards of reporting/documentary quality to support reporting to donors and programme stakeholders.

Provide logistics arrangements with respect to meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, trainings, etc. including but not limited to transport solutions, catering, procurement and communications.

Ensure system is in place to manage office and IT inventories.

Ensure smooth day to day running of the office facilities and act as Health and Safety focal point for the Salalah office, managing emergency and safety procedures. Performs other administrative support as required in support to the Chief of Party and other team member as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in any one of the following: business administration, management, procurement, accounting, or related fields.

Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, budget reporting, and related fields.

Experience working in event facilitation, and/or recruitment is an advantage.

Experience working with government and multi-stakeholders (donors, multilaterals, etc.)

Fluency in written and verbal English and Arabic are essential.

Knowledge of green growth and climate change issues would be an advantage.

Experience with UN systems or other international organizations is a plus.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Proficient in Project Management Information Systems (PMIS); and or Enterprise Resource Management systems (ERP)

Ability to liaise and work seamlessly with relevant units and staff

Highly organized and able to effectively and efficiently multi-task and prioritize

Dedicated team player, with result-oriented, pro-active, and creative mindset to solve problems.

Able to perform duties on time and budget

Excellent multi-cultural literacy and interest in being a part of an international team

Takes a pro-active approach and work independently with minimum supervision to solve issues arising

Willingness and ability to travel (domestic) as needed, especially to events that the Program is organizing or participating (occasional)

Ability and willingness to work in a flexible and agile manner and deliver according to the demand of the Program

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Administrative Senior Assistant is an G5NAT grade level in GGGI's national salary scale, details of which can be found in the GGGI Staff Rules on GGGI’s website. In addition, GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, flexible work arrangements and contribution towards private health insurance that covers dental and vision. The appointment is for 24 months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.
