About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Site Engineer - Utilities & Road to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing utilities and road construction projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
- Manage and coordinate utilities and road construction projects from inception to completion
- Develop and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports
- Implement quality control measures and safety protocols on construction sites
- Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and approvals
- Analyze and interpret technical data to make informed decisions
- Optimize project efficiency through effective resource allocation and scheduling
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in utilities and road construction
What do we need from you
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities and road construction projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software
- Strong project management skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Comprehensive understanding of utility systems (water, sewer, electrical, gas)
- Familiarity with road construction techniques and materials
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on efficiency and organization
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed within the Dubai area
