We need a Assistant Vice President - Infrastructure,
JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Vice President will develop horizontal design activities related to infrastructure and ensure compliance with authorities' standards across several developments. The role will support the Vice President – Infrastructure and the wider Projects team on challenging but country leading Infrastructure developments.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review of Design for utility/Roads services framework for various projects based on approved master plan.
- Manage the activities of infrastructure designs and ensure they meet the value proposition.
- Manage design of infrastructure work on behalf of utilities authority (ADDC, Tabreed, ADM) and liaise with Project Procurement to submit claims for reimbursement.
- Provide all technical report to management to advice and design review for ongoing projects, in accordance with project teams.
- Assist Project Procurement in developing project scope and assessing third parties (consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors) by performing technical evaluation.
- Manage third parties (PMC, consultants, and contractors) on the analysis of infrastructure and ensure drawing submittals are in line with Aldar projects specifications.
- Prepare report with regards engineering analysis, preparing plans and specifications, reviewing contractor submittals.
- Identify possible ideas to cut costs/time and provide value engineering recommendations to project teams.
- Ensure that plans and policies affecting public utilities are compliant with the government direction, ADDC, Tabreed and other authorities and other authorities' requirements.
- Build stakeholder relationship with all stakeholders and other authorities to secure smooth approvals.
- Coordinate with Estidama team to ensure that designs are aligned with the sustainability requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
- Technical post-graduate degree is preferred.
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 13 years of experience in a design consultancy, property development firm or PMC, specializing in infrastructure, preferably in the GCC.
YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION:
At least 5 years in a management or lead role.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE :
- Extensive experience to GCC region and adjacent markets is essential.
- Proven track record of working on complex projects in the Middle East and or GCC.
- Demonstrated track record in infrastructure design and project oversight.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Excellent design capabilities and understanding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to delegate and coordinate responsibilities.
- Strong conflict resolution and upward / downward management skills.
- Committed team player with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and make decisions.
