Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the company's overall financial operations. In a sales-driven company, the role places particular focus on accounts receivable, invoicing and collections.
Skills Description
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, and follow up on collections and outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile sales transactions, customer accounts, and bank statements.
- Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices and payments.
- Process and verify expense claims, petty cash, and employee reimbursements.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support VAT calculation, filing, and compliance with ZATCA requirements.
- Assist with audits by providing required documents and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (experience in a sales or trading company preferred).
- Knowledge of VAT and ZATCA regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Professional certification (e.g., SOCPA, CMA, or part-qualified) is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting softwares (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication in English and Arabic.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information.
