Role Summary
Compass Project Consulting is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support a residential real estate development program in Ras Al Khaimah, working with a large and prestigious developer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering day-to-day planning and project controls functions from the preparation of design and construction schedules to managing reporting and stakeholder coordination. This role requires a strong grasp of Primavera P6, excellent communication skills, and experience operating in client-facing environments within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage strategic programmes across design, procurement, and construction phases, along with all associated deliverables and supporting schedules.
Coordinate the development of target construction and procurement schedules and ensure integration with client milestones.
Establish and manage project reporting procedures; prepare and present monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
Review and analyse consultant and contractor schedules, progress updates, and reports to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and propose corrective actions where needed.
Support the project leadership in aligning the master programme with the Project Master Plan and contractual commitments.
Conduct planning studies related to workflow, manpower, and resource planning.
Support the preparation and maintenance of project-specific templates and procedures to ensure effective implementation and consistency.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and third-party stakeholders to maintain coordination and alignment.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in planning and project controls, with a minimum of 3 years in the UAE.
Proven track record in residential, mixed-use or hospitality-led developments.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and advanced Microsoft Excel essential.
Strong knowledge of construction sequences, project scheduling methods, and earned value management.
Demonstrated experience working in a client-facing role and managing consultant/contractor deliverables.
Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (verbal and written).
