Job Description Summary
Responsible for overall project control and defining consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation. Activities are carried out to better understand and ultimately meet client expectations. Influences the quality of their own work and that of their team members. Performs standard operational/technical tasks generally subject to instructions and professional routines. Some flexibility is allowed to reorganize the order of tasks based on evolving business situations.

Roles and responsibilities

Serves as technical manager/lead to develop a scope of work, establishes the schedule and controls the engineering activities of client projects. Provides technical leadership and serves as the interface with proposal management, cost estimation, partners, clients, GE Vernova Product Engineering, procurement, and engineering subcontractors.
Expand knowledge within one's own technical discipline to implement policy/strategy. May include support roles in specialized technical knowledge areas. Continue acquiring high-level knowledge and skills.
Basic understanding of key operational factors; uses this understanding to perform their own work. Good understanding of how their own team's work fits in with other teams and contributes to their area.
Can exercise a degree of autonomy in making decisions within a defined framework. Resolves problems in situations requiring sound technical knowledge and judgment, following established procedures. Consults with more experienced team members regarding issues outside of defined instructions and/or parameters.
A position at this level requires strong interpersonal skills and may involve leading a junior team. For client-facing roles, this position involves developing solid client relationships and serving as a liaison between the client and GE Vernova. It also requires explaining technical information to colleagues.


Basic qualifications

• For roles outside the United States – This role requires basic experience with the function and digital audio workstation. Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or a bachelor's degree with experience in a relevant field). • For roles in the United States – Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma and/or general education diploma with at least 2 years of experience in the function).
