In this role, you will help shape how rare dermatological diseases are understood, identified, and supported across complex healthcare ecosystems.
Your role
As Rare Disease Key Account Manager, you will build trusted, strategic relationships across rare-disease stakeholder networks and drive account plans that support awareness, patient identification, diagnosis, referral, and access. You will combine scientific curiosity, strong business planning, and compliant stakeholder engagement to deliver agreed account, activity, and business objectives.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for priority hospitals, specialist centers, dermatology clinics, and referral networks.
- Map and engage key stakeholders, including dermatologists, pediatric dermatologists, geneticists, specialist nurses, pharmacists, diagnostic laboratories, patient organizations, payers, and healthcare authorities.
- Build rare-disease capability by strengthening knowledge of disease progression, patient journeys, standards of care, referral systems, reimbursement, and unmet needs.
- Identify gaps in patient pathways and share actionable insights internally to support approved disease-awareness and education initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Compliance, Pharmacovigilance, Marketing, Patient Services, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and regional/global rare-disease teams.
You will also maintain accurate CRM records, monitor account performance, contribute to launch preparation, and ensure every interaction is aligned with approved content, company procedures, local regulations, and codes of practice.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, healthcare management, or a related field.
- Experience in dermatology or rare diseases.
- Proven experience managing key accounts and building long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or healthcare compliance requirements, with the ability to work within approved processes and local regulations.
- Confidence in using CRM systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.
