Senior VP, Revenue Management, Abu Dhabi, UAE

A leading organisation in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Senior Vice President, Revenue Management (UAEN) to oversee and optimise the entire revenue management process within their customer service operations division. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and ensure the highest standards of accuracy in metering, billing, and collections. (This opportunity is for UAE Nationals)



What you'll do:

You will play a central role in shaping the future of revenue operations within a major utility provider. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust strategies that govern pricing, billing, and collections while ensuring compliance with divisional policies. You will oversee metering activities—ensuring accurate readings—and lead initiatives around smart metering technology adoption. Managing both direct reports and wider teams involved in meter reading, installation, maintenance, billing issuance, payment collection, and customer account resolution will be key. You will also analyse system reports daily to identify trends among debtors or defaulters and recommend actionable plans for recovery. Handling sensitive cases involving large or VIP customers requires empathy and tact. Additionally, you will establish clear guidelines for account disconnections due to late payments while managing bad debts through legal channels or negotiated payment plans. Success in this role means consistently delivering quality service that enhances customer satisfaction while safeguarding organisational revenue streams.

Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for revenue management including pricing, billing, and collection policies that maximise profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Supervise the billing process to ensure customers receive accurate bills promptly based on reliable meter readings and tariff structures.
Ensure timely collection of payments from customers by monitoring account activity and analysing system reports for any irregularities or outstanding balances.
 

What you bring:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience from the utilities sector or similar environments where precision in revenue operations is paramount.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent is required for this senior-level position.
A minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience in revenue management within utilities or similar sectors is essential for success.
Proven ability to develop comprehensive strategies covering pricing, billing, collections, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated capability in reviewing meter data for accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Expertise in managing large-scale billing processes ensuring timely issuance based on reliable data inputs.
Track record of successful payment collection management including identifying top debtors/defaulters and proposing effective recovery plans.
Ability to investigate complex customer account issues with sensitivity—especially those involving VIP clients—and resolve them efficiently.
Familiarity with formulating criteria for account disconnection due to delayed payments as well as handling bad debts via legal action or alternate payment plans.
