Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategic Management
Provide visionary leadership for the Early Years section (Pre-KG, FS1, FS2, KG1, KG2), driving excellence in teaching, learning, and child development .
Lead, mentor, and inspire Early Years teachers and teaching assistants through regular coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development .
Champion a collaborative and child-centered culture, fostering a nurturing and high-performing environment where every child thrives .
Develop and implement the School Improvement Plan for the Early Years department, contributing to whole-school priorities and external inspection readiness (e.g., KHDA, SPEA/MOE) .
Manage the day-to-day operations, including timetabling, staff cover, resource allocation, and budget management for the department .
Curriculum, Teaching, and Assessment
Oversee the implementation of a high-quality early years curriculum (e.g., EYFS Framework, IB PYP, IEYC, or American curriculum) in line with international benchmarks and UAE standards .
Ensure all learning experiences are inquiry-based, play-focused, and developmentally appropriate, promoting curiosity, independence, and a love of learning .
Lead curriculum planning and continuous improvement, ensuring robust assessment systems, data analysis, and moderation processes are in place to secure strong progress and outcomes for all learners .
Promote best practices in early childhood pedagogy, including effective use of technology, bilingual instruction (if applicable), and culturally relevant content (e.g., Islamic values) .
Student Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Safeguarding
Lead the implementation of behaviour, inclusion, and wellbeing policies tailored to Early Years learners .
Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, ensuring full compliance with safeguarding and child protection procedures .
Work closely with inclusion teams and specialists to support individual learning needs, promoting inclusive education practices .
Ensure smooth transitions for students from home or nursery into the Early Years setting and from Early Years into Primary school .
Parent and Community Engagement
Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents through open communication, workshops, and regular events .
Lead parent information sessions, orientation programmes, and workshops to support early development, literacy, and parenting .
Represent the Early Years programme at school events, open days, and admissions processes .
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field .
Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed with QTS, or equivalent) with an Early Years specialism .
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Early Years education .
Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in an Early Years or Foundation Stage setting .
Proven experience leading and managing a team of educators .
Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogies and global best practices (e.g., play-based, inquiry-led learning) .
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills .
A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and child welfare .
Desirable:
Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field .
Experience with a specific curriculum (e.g., British EYFS, IB PYP, American, or IEYC) .
International school experience, particularly in the UAE, with knowledge of local regulations (e.g., KHDA) and cultural context .
Experience leading teams in a bilingual setting is an advantage.

Applicant Tracking System or "ATS", is the software that 'READS' your CV and stores this information in a database. Like this:
If the CV is not made as per the RULES of the ATS, the information will get messed up in the database. Like this:
And, you may never be found by the recruiter, in spite of your 'CV information' existing in the database...
... And, you'll wonder why you get rejected in spite of being a PERFECT MATCH for the Job.
