We need a Facilities Maintenance Technician,
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join ALBA CARS, one of Dubai’s leading used-car dealerships.
In this hands-on role, you will maintain our showroom premises and help keep the air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems in good working order. The ideal candidate has strong practical maintenance skills, particularly in diagnosing and repairing air conditioning (AC) faults, and takes a proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
You will also support general cleaning and upkeep to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Air Conditioning Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect building AC systems, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs within your competence and company procedures.
- Perform routine AC servicing, including cleaning filters and checking cooling performance.
- Identify recurring faults and take appropriate action to reduce disruption to showroom operations.
- Report major faults and repairs requiring specialist support to the Head of Facilities.
Electrical & Plumbing Maintenance
- Carry out routine electrical maintenance and minor repairs to lighting, switches, and fittings using safe working practices.
- Identify electrical faults and report issues requiring specialist attention.
- Repair plumbing issues, including leaks, blocked drains, and faulty taps or bathroom fittings.
- Check electrical and plumbing fixtures regularly and address maintenance needs promptly.
General Repairs & Preventive Maintenance
- Complete general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and fittings.
- Inspect the premises and identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or disruption.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritise tasks according to urgency.
- Keep the Head of Facilities updated on completed repairs, outstanding issues, and required parts.
- Maintain tools and equipment and leave work areas tidy after completing repairs.
Cleaning & Facility Upkeep
- Support cleaning of showroom areas, offices, washrooms, and shared spaces as required.
- Carry out tasks such as sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and removing waste, using cleaning products and equipment safely.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience as a facilities maintenance technician, maintenance technician, handyman, or in a similar role.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair AC faults is essential.
- Practical experience in both electrical maintenance and plumbing.
- Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to complete general repairs independently.
- Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely and recognise when specialist support is needed.
- Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise maintenance tasks.
- Basic English communication skills to understand instructions and report issues.
- Willingness to support cleaning and general facility upkeep alongside maintenance duties.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
- UAE employment visa sponsorship.
- Medical insurance.
- 30 days of paid annual leave.
Work Arrangement
- Type: Full-time, on-site position.
- Location: Dubai, UAE.
Candidates must live in the UAE or be willing to relocate for this on-site role.
