Role: IT Project Manager
Job Purpose Summary:
The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring a portfolio of IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery on schedule in line with the strategic plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned portfolio of projects in accordance with IT project management methodology to ensure successful execution, aligned with set goals and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with related departments and units to achieve successful project completion.
- Build effective communication channels and manage vendor engagements to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Coordinate across IT departments to ensure smooth progress of ongoing projects.
- Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as required.
- Ensure protection and security of project and related information from unauthorized access, in line with Group security policies.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
- Identify areas for self-development and take initiative to enhance professional capabilities.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Certification in Project Management (PMI).
- MBA or Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing IT projects within banking and financial services.
- Additional training or certifications in systems technology, management, or banking are advantageous.
Required Special Skills:
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and financial management abilities.
- Self-driven with well-developed leadership, motivational, and team-building skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt.
