Regarding the role and responsibilities, you will need to perform the followings:

The Sales Manager at voco Muscat Al Mouj is responsible for driving revenue through proactive sales efforts, relationship building, and market development. This role requires a strategic, motivated, and results-driven individual to manage a portfolio of corporate, MICE, government, or leisure accounts, depending on business needs. The Sales Manager plays a key role in achieving revenue goals and maintaining the hotel’s brand presence in the local and international markets, in line with IHG standards.

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across assigned market segments.
Actively source and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients to generate business opportunities.
Conduct client visits, sales calls, site inspections, and participate in industry events to promote the hotel’s offerings.
Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviours.
Collaborate with the Revenue and Marketing teams to develop promotional packages, campaigns, and pricing strategies.
Accurately maintain sales reports, client databases (such as Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering), and sales activity logs.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual individual and team targets as set by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Support the development of junior sales team members and share best practices across the department.
Ensure all activities comply with IHG policies, local regulations, and brand standards.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMNTS AND KEY COMPETENCIES?

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Sales, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of proven sales experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
Strong understanding of the Muscat/Oman hospitality market and key feeder markets.
Demonstrated ability to develop and close business across various segments (Corporate, Government, MICE, or Leisure).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in MS Office and hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera, Delphi, or IHG-specific platforms).
