Operations Engineer, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Description:

Cloud DevOps / Operations Engineer

Technical Skills & Competencies:

OS & Networking: Expert-level knowledge of Linux operating systems and TCP/IP protocols. Familiarity with common service components like Nginx and Keepalived.

Automation & Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages, specifically Shell and Python.

Virtualization & Cloud Infrastructure: Deep understanding of IaaS/PaaS products and KVM virtualization (compute, network, and storage technologies).

Containerization & Orchestration: Solid familiarity with Docker and a strong understanding of core Kubernetes resource objects, application management, and troubleshooting.

Operations & Open-Source Tools: Hands-on experience independently deploying, configuring, and tuning production-grade tools, including:

Databases & Caching: MySQL, Redis

CI/CD & Version Control: Jenkins, Git

Monitoring & Logging: ELK Stack, Prometheus

Configuration Management: Ansible

DevOps Practice: Strong grasp of DevOps principles. Preferred experience in operations automation, monitoring system development, or release system development.

Soft Skills & Core Attributes:

Communication: Strong communication, coordination, and facilitation skills.

Resilience: High sense of responsibility and proven ability to perform under pressure.

Problem Solving: Ability to articulate problems clearly and accurately, with a track record of complete, closed-loop resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal delivery/operations certifications for Tencent Cloud TCE or Alibaba Cloud Apsara Stack (spanning platform, compute, storage, network, middleware, database, or security products).
