IT Support Specialist, RAK, UAE

Job Purpose

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing first- and second-level technical support to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the company’s IT systems and network infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, maintaining system performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. The IT Support Specialist plays a key part in maintaining business continuity through timely issue resolution, proactive system monitoring, and user support.

 

Responsibilities:

Offer first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues. Troubleshoot problems reported by users through various communication channels (email, phone, ticketing system, etc.) and escalate complex issues when needed.

Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Identify and resolve network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, servers, and other IT equipment. Replace or repair defective components as needed.

Install, update, and configure software applications. Resolve software compatibility issues and ensure proper software licensing.

Assist with network-related tasks, including connectivity issues, IP configuration, and network hardware maintenance.

Manage Active Directory objects, such as user accounts, groups, and organizational units.

Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, storage devices, and virtualization platforms. Replace or repair faulty hardware components when needed.

Keep in touch with the ISP supplier in case of internet connection dysfunctions.

Respond in due time to incidents and ensure there are no violations regarding SLA.

Install, update, and configure software applications on Windows and Linux platforms.

Administer Windows and Linux-based systems, including user account management, permissions, file systems, and security configurations. Maintain optimal system performance through regular updates and patches.

Document solutions to common problems and maintain a knowledge base for internal use. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a collaborative environment.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and certifications. Actively pursue relevant training and certifications to enhance skills and contribute to the team's success.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on networking, Windows systems, and Linux administration.

Strong understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with network monitoring tools and network troubleshooting.

Proficiency in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. Experience with MCSA-level tasks such as server setup, maintenance, and security.

Hands-on experience with Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat), including user management, system updates, shell scripting, and basic system configuration.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Understanding of virtual machines, snapshots, and resource management.

Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner.

A customer-centric approach with a positive attitude. Ability to interact professionally with users at all levels and provide effective support.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other IT specialists and cross-functional teams. Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to team success.

Ability to document processes, solutions, and user guides in a clear and organized manner. Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems is a plus.

Availability to work shifts (including nights, weekends, legal holidays).

The Office Administrator/Receptionist will ensure proper flow of office procedures and will support the company management by carrying out common office duties, maintain a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, customers, and vendors in person, online, and via telephone.

Manage reception area and take care of visitors

Act as first point of contact, answering phone and intercom promptly and professionally

About the Position: 

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Head of Automation to join the resort’s Entertainment Administration team. 

The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are: 

Complete performance reviews.  Hire and train new employees.  

Lead the team in establishing and maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all automation and Comms systems for each performance.  

Support the production team by assisting with the planning and strategy of the load-in and the creative / rehearsal process of the production.  

Develop the strategy and planning for the automation and Comms systems installation, safety, training and operation.  

Operate the automated stage systems, and fluid hydraulic systems by programming and operating the Comms consoles.    

Oversee operations of and troubleshoot the automation and Comms systems during performances and rehearsals.  

Install, assemble, hang, and repair automation mechanisms and automated show elements.  

Document, monitor and update the automation and fluid hydraulic systems installation specifications, inventory of materials and equipment and all pertinent inspection and maintenance records.  

Monitor all show automation and Comms systems and provide adequate oversight and supervision to maintain a safe environment.  

Participate in the on-going development of an inspection of the automation and fluid hydraulic system installations.    

Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff.  

Support the Executive Director of Technical Operations in creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs.  

Produce yearly department budgets. Manage the department’s budgets and capital expense projections and oversee the supply, replacement and inventory of consumables.  

Work with the Resident Director on required changes and ongoing development of the show.    

Establish emergency procedures for show systems with Stage Management and the technical team; ensure all department staff is trained and familiar with these procedures.  

Provide cost effective solutions to automation and Comms issues that maintain show quality and maximize return on investment.  

Document all systems and show cues and any respective changes on a daily basis during the rehearsal process and through all performances.    

Communicate and coordinate with system manufacturers for system updates and repairs.  

Prepare department schedules for all maintenance, rehearsal and show calls and process payroll for all staff.  

Establish and maintain training and backup plans to assure continuity in performance operations of the department.    

Create a CQI (continuous quality improvement) process for personnel, systems and equipment.  

About You: 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  

Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as Head of Automation for a large-scale theatrical or production show.    

Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical automation and Comms systems as it pertains to installation, use and troubleshooting.  

Experience with a wide variety of modern fluid power equipment such as hydraulic valves, and pumps as it pertains to installation, use and troubleshooting.  

Experience with flying effects with artists and theatrical rigging.  

Experience with electronics, conduit, battery packs, wire terminals, sensors, networks and Comms boards.  

Experience and knowledge of automation, fluid systems & hardware.  

Prior experience working with Navigator preferred.  

Ability to learn or update lifesaving skills and to become CPR/First Responder trained.  

Ability, experience, and comfort in working at high elevations in a theatrical environment.  

Maintain relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.    

Must be able to break down barriers between backstage and onstage personnel.  

Must have the ability to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.  

Have relevant OSHA/IOSH or alternate industry standard qualifications

Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field (MBA preferred)

Experience: 7–12 Years (Minimum 5 years in Lubricants, Automotive, Industrial Chemicals, or FMCG)

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to drive the global marketing initiatives for our growing Lubricants & Greases business. This role is ideal for a marketing professional with strong experience in brand management, product marketing, digital campaigns, distributor support, and international market development.

You will work closely with Sales, Technical, Product Development, and Commercial teams to strengthen brand visibility, accelerate business growth, and support our expanding distributor network across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and other international markets.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Product Marketing

Develop and execute annual marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Drive brand positioning and awareness across global markets.

Lead product launches for automotive, industrial, marine, and specialty lubricants.

Create impactful marketing collateral, technical literature, presentations, and sales toolkits.

Digital Marketing

Plan and execute digital campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Improve website traffic, SEO/SEM performance, lead generation, and campaign ROI.

Track digital marketing KPIs and optimize campaign effectiveness.

Distributor & Trade Marketing

Support global distributors with promotional campaigns, branding, product launches, and marketing materials.

Develop distributor marketing toolkits and dealer engagement programs.

Plan trade promotions, merchandising initiatives, and retail branding activities.

Events & Market Development

Lead participation in international exhibitions such as Automechanika, ADIPEC, Lubricant Expo, and other industry events.

Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and identify growth opportunities in export markets.

Marketing Operations

Manage annual marketing budgets and agency relationships.

Coordinate packaging, artwork, and product label development.

Support CRM initiatives, lead generation campaigns, and sales enablement activities.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.

7–12 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in Lubricants, Automotive, Industrial Chemicals, or FMCG.

Strong experience in Brand Management, Product Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Digital Marketing.

Exposure to international/export markets and distributor management is highly preferred.

Knowledge of automotive & industrial lubricants, OEM specifications (API, ACEA, ILSAC, JASO), and packaging regulations is an advantage.

Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, CRM tools, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office. SAP Business One & Power BI knowledge is a plus.
