Specialist Pipelines Engineer, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:

The Specialist Pipelines engineer is responsible for the technical assurance & compliance of the CONTRACTOR to the COMPANY’s specific discipline scope, specifications, respective governing codes & standards & industry best practices. Roles & responsibilities includes reviews & approvals of discipline related documentation, participation in discipline progress meetings with Contractor counter-part, Planned design review sessions, review & resolution of discipline specific technical queries, verification of discipline specific concession requests (as applicable) & provide input (approval or rejection) with justification.

Support Procurements activities & relevant documents review & approvals, VENDOR documents review, physical inspection as required.

Support Construction & commissioning activities by involvement in respective Discipline inspections & punch listing activities as applicable for release of respective certifications (DAC/MC,,etc.)

Verification of Final discipline specific Documentation & Database at handover & confirm completeness & correctness.

Technical Audits: Engage in &/or lead Technical audits (Discipline specific) to verify & ensure compliance to specifications &/or industry best practices.

Technical/Design Reviews: Participate in all planned design reviews requiring discipline input. Ensure CONTRACTOR compliance to Project design basis, specifications, design requirements & industry best practices.

Review & approval : review & approval of discipline specific engineering documents, assign respective review codes, follow up on other disciplines involved in the document review to ensure timely release of the review cycle, consolidate all review discipline comments, verify its validity & as required address them with issues/concerns over the comments to reach a resolution before sending the consolidated review comments to CONTRACTOR, Verify CONTRACTOR’s resolution of all comments.

Monitors CONTRACTOR’s overall compliance & engineering quality, provides necessary feedback for observations, deviations & areas of improvements (Preventive/Corrective actions) in the Project Quality system

Engineering Change Management:

Review of discipline specific Concession requests issued within the CONTRACT, validate the basis of the request & its impact on technical integrity & justification, prior to requesting endorsement from Technical authority.

Monitoring & ensuring that discipline specific design change management is being carried out for all respective engineering changes with proper multidiscipline impact assessment & the same is registered & controlled (as & when required).

General:

Maintain regular meetings with discipline counter part for timely discipline activity coordination & problems resolution as applicable.

Communicate discipline specific updates/areas of concern on regular basis to the package engineering manager & to other disciplines within the package.

Maintaining time records & timely submission of time sheets for approval

Timely input into engineering leave planner & subsequent submittal of leave (after aligning a handover & a deputy during the leave period).

Address technical conflicts & disputes with Counterpart in a professional & systematic manner, relevant to governing specifications/codes & actual situation.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required;

Must be fluent in English language (Written & Spoken).

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:

15 years of discipline specific experience with 5 years of experience on major Oil & Gas projects. 5 years of which in same position working with reputable contractor (PMC or EPC).

5+ years GCC Projects experience/UAE Projects experience is preferred

Site based experience, brown field work is a plus,

Through knowledge of industry governing codes & standards,

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks.

Fully conversant with relevant international standards and GOOD PRACTICES.

Fully conversant with the relevant engineering software (CII, Microstation, AUTOCAD Navisworks).

Fully conversant with principles of “safety in design”

Good understanding of construction techniques and constructability issues

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Flight Simulator Technician, Abu Dhabi, UAE

This job is OPEN to APPLY for ALL Nationalities, unless otherwise specified.

In this role, you will perform routine technical maintenance, conduct first-line troubleshooting, and support the upkeep of training devices in accordance with qualification standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and/or Cabin Crew Training Devices by responding to maintenance requests and performing device setup, conversions, and demonstrations.

Independently complete Preventive Maintenance Tasks (PMTs) and Daily Readiness (DR) activities on training devices and associated systems.

Review and sign off work completed by Simulator Support Assistants on complex PMTs and maintenance activities, as applicable.

Maintain accurate, current, and readily accessible maintenance records.

Execute recurrent Qualification Test Guide (QTG) runs and perform first-line troubleshooting using schematics and aircraft or device documentation.

Use the Maintenance Management System to record, track, and review maintenance activities.

Support recurring data and content updates, including Navigation Databases, Terrain Databases, OIS and EFB content, training documents, performance data, and IOS lesson plans.

Maintain accurate records of all software, data, and content updates.

Manage inventory levels of consumables and tools and submit replenishment requests as needed.

Support logistics activities, including annual inventory counts, storage organization, packing, and shipping preparation.

Perform housekeeping and administrative activities that support the Technical Services team.

Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards, policies, and safe work procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Technical College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Aviation, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with flight simulators or related training devices.

Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Working knowledge of computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and programming concepts.

Ability to perform basic software modifications and troubleshooting activities.

Technical knowledge of simulator hardware and software systems.

Understanding of aircraft and training device terminology.

Customer-focused approach with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience troubleshooting multiple simulator systems, including motion, visual, avionics, flight dynamics, and aircraft systems.

Knowledge of commercial aviation training environments and processes.

Experience supporting commercial aircraft simulator platforms.

Familiarity with a variety of aircraft types, including commercial jetliners.

Knowledge of applicable regulatory authorities and standards, including EASA, UAE DGCA, or equivalent regulations related to FSTDs.

Experience supporting simulator qualification activities, including QTG execution and analysis.

Job Purpose

Successfully executes the installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of new and reworked TechnipFMC or other brands of equipment and tools, both onshore and offshore, under field conditions, including job preparation and delivery in international environments.

Job Description

Ensure all equipment, service tooling, backup, and spare parts are present on location, ready for use, and function-fit prior to starting each job.

Accurately prepare and submit field service reports, job logs, and all required documentation with necessary details including part and serial numbers, equipment types, and non-conformance reports (FNCRs).

Record and document critical information such as dimensions, weights, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates to support product testing, operation, and assembly reviews.

Maintain constant, high-level communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity on job procedures, parts requirements, and critical measurements. Proactively offer suggestions for safety and operational improvements.

Drive the “company provided Vehicle for service jobs” Service vehicle with full commitment to the internal / external driving rules, and accountability for any violation.

Execute National and International assigned service jobs as per TechnipFMC needs.

Provide sales support by ensuring the customer is fully informed of all aspects of the job.

Serve as a professional representative of TechnipFMC, handling customer complaints professionally and identifying opportunities for business improvement and customer success.

Complete all safety-related documentation and consistently promote and pursue safe work practices.

Uphold TechnipFMC Quality Management System requirements and enforce adherence to QHSE and the company code of ethics.

Complete Field Non-Conformance Reports (E-FNCR) and ensure all equipment and procedural defects are communicated back to the TFMC Service Coordinator.

Report daily to the Service Project Manager from a project execution perspective and escalate business-critical decisions related to operations, customer issues, or personnel matters. Support Management of Change (MOC) processes as needed.

Act as an ambassador for TechnipFMC, constantly striving to improve safety, knowledge, professionalism, and customer success while identifying opportunities for the company.

You are meant for this job if:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:

High school diploma, Apprenticeship or equivalent technical diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.

Basic knowledge of one or more of the following fields: electrical; subsea equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel

Work experience can compensate for lack of formal Education.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1.5 to 3 years of direct surface pressure control related experience onshore and offshore environments

3-6 years of Oil and Gas experience indirectly with wellhead or other highly technical services and products

Plus 3-5 Years Professional Work History in Lieu of advanced schooling

REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):

Safety Certifications including but not limited to: T-BOSIET, H2S, ADNOC Safety Inductions, CPR

TechnipFMC Service Skills Training

OGUK or equivalent medical screening

REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Qualifications and Skills
