Senior Associate - Tax, Dubai, UAE

What you'll be doing  

The Senior Associate – Tax manages key aspects of Transfer Pricing compliance and documentation across multiple markets including UAE, KSA, Qatar, Jordan.

The role reviews tax-sensitive transactions, supports tax audits, performs reconciliations, and prepares draft tax filings.

This position requires stronger technical understanding of tax rules (including OECD TP guidance), analytical skills, and the ability to support Business Units on tax-related queries.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Filings (Three tier documentation):Preparation of Transfer Pricing Disclosure Forms in line with local regulations.

End-to-end preparation of Local File and Master File documentation in accordance with OECD and local country guidelines.

Support in preparation of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and related notifications.

Pillar Two Support: Assist with Pillar Two calculations for tax filings, accounting and management reporting.

Technical Tax Support

Maintenance and implementation of Group TP Policy

Support analysis of tax implications for business scenarios

Assist in interpreting tax regulations and summarizing impacts

Reporting & Analytics

Prepare tax compliance reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses

Support preparation of tax packs and management summaries

Track tax KPIs and compliance timelines

Governance, Controls & Audits

Maintain complete documentation for internal and external audits

Monitor internal controls over tax-sensitive processes

Support tax risk assessments and remediation actions

What you’ll need to succeed  

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance (Preference for CA and CPAs)

3–5 years of experience in transfer pricing compliance and corporate tax roles.

Technical Skills

Strong Excel and reconciliation skills

Understanding of GCC TP, corporate tax laws and accounting disclosures

Pillar Two knowledge would be an add-on. 

Tax Knowledge – Applies TP and Pillar Two rules for relevant jurisdiction

Analytical Thinking – Performs reconciliations and variance analyses

Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in tax filings and data

Communication – Provides clear guidance to stakeholders

Collaboration – Works with Finance, Accounting, and external advisors

Problem-Solving – Resolves tax discrepancies effectively

Process Discipline – Ensures strong adherence to compliance requirements

Senior Account Manager, Dubai, UAE

Role Purpose

The Vice President/ Senior Account Manager– Open Ended Fund Administration is a senior client facing and people management role, responsible for the delivery, oversight and continuous improvement of high-quality fund administration services for a portfolio of open-ended hedge fund clients. The role acts as a senior escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders, ensures regulatory and operational excellence, and leads teams across Dubai and Apex Global Support Centres to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outcomes. The role aligns to the Vice President/ Senior Account Manager expectations with accountability for client outcomes, team leadership, operational efficiency and commercial contribution.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Service Excellence

Act as the senior point of contact for assigned clients, managing complex client matters, expectations and escalations.

Oversee end-to-end delivery of client deliverables including NAV calculations, transfer agency activity, audit coordination, regulatory reporting and client-specific reporting.

Ensure consistent adherence to Apex policies, procedures, service standards and regulatory requirements across all client engagements.

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client service delivery and add value through process improvements or expanded service offerings.

Technical Oversight & Risk Management

Provide expert oversight and review of fund accounting activities including portfolio reconciliation, fee calculations (management, performance, equalisation), capital activity and expense accruals.

Actively address sub-standard work and ensure corrective action where work does not meet Apex or client expectations.

Assess operational, regulatory and reputational risks, taking accountable action to mitigate issues and escalate where required.

Support SSAE 18 / SOC control implementation and ongoing compliance in coordination with internal and external auditors.

People Leadership & Team Management

Lead, coach and develop Account Managers, Senior Fund Accountants and Fund Accountants, including first-line managers, ensuring clear objectives, performance feedback and career development.

Create a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance team culture aligned with Apex values and leadership expectations.

Hold team members accountable for quality, timeliness and conduct, addressing performance issues with timely and constructive action.

Support cross-location teamwork with Apex Global Support Centres, facilitating effective communication and shared accountability.

Operational Efficiency & Change

Plan, schedule and manage daily workflows across teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all client deliverables.

Identify, implement and embed process improvements, automation and system enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability and sustainability.

Actively participate in internal projects, new client onboarding, large mandate integrations and change initiatives across the Group.

Commercial & Stakeholder Contribution

Actively coordinate with Apex Global Capability Centres (GCC) in India to ensure timely, accurate and high-quality delivery of fund accounting and operational outputs, with clear ownership, issue tracking and resolution.

Work closely with GCC teams to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve delivery, quality or timeliness issues within agreed SLAs, escalating where required and driving continuous improvement.

Partner with Regional Management, Business Heads and Office Leadership to support day-today office operations, regional initiatives and execution of group priorities.

Collaborate closely with Business Development, Sales, and Client Relationship teams to support client onboarding, scope management, pricing discussions, cross-sell initiatives and revenue growth opportunities, in line with regulatory requirements.

Maintain strong, constructive working relationships with Compliance, Risk, Governance, Transfer Agency, Tax, Legal and Technology teams to ensure consistent application of Apex policies, risk-based decision making and regulatory compliance.

Support accurate and timely billing, invoicing and cash collection, ensuring invoice accuracy, disciplined follow-up and alignment with client SLAs.

Contribute to MIS, KPI dashboards and management reporting, providing transparency on service delivery, financial performance, risks, issues and operational metrics.

Actively support audit planning and execution, coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure on-time completion with no major findings.

This role is expected to support the effective running of the business and office including but not limited to:

Timely and accurate delivery of outputs via GCCs and cross-functional teams.

Strong coordination across regional and office teams to deliver group and regional initiatives.

High-quality client communication, scope discipline and SLA governance.

Commercial contribution through revenue opportunities, cost control and effective resource utilisation.

Proactive risk identification, issue resolution and strong governance standards.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

12–15 years’ experience in fund accounting / fund administration, with significant experience in open-ended or hedge fund structures.

Strong technical knowledge of NAV preparation, complex fee structures, financial instruments and multi-jurisdictional reporting.

Proven people management and leadership experience, including managing managers.

Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS (as applicable to fund structures).

Experience with fund accounting systems (PFS Paxus or equivalent preferred).

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CFA, MBA or equivalent preferred.

Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Assistant Manager - Category, Dubai, UAE

Job Description

The Assistant Category Manager (ACM) is responsible for leading critical category-specific procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, vendor performance monitoring and spend analysis. ACM ensures timely and efficient purchasing by collaborating with internal teams and aligning procurement actions with project requirements. He also involves identifying potential suppliers through market research, monitoring industry trends, and driving cost optimization and process improvements across the procurement cycle.

Responsibilities

STRATEGIC

Align procurement strategies with company objectives and long-term goals

Plan and establish strategic long-term purchase agreements (LTPA) for targeted items yearly.

Facilitate strategic discussions with key suppliers and stakeholders to address performance metrics.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and emerging trends within the industry.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across procurement processes.

Review spend analysis and savings reports data in Dashboard to evaluate procurement effectiveness.

Review and track ICV data in Procure Lens, ensuring valid ICV certificates from major vendors.

OPERATIONAL:

for Critical procurement items in relevant category 

Collect a minimum of three competitive quotations from potential suppliers

Prepare Preliminary Cost Comparison (CC) sheets for RF items to evaluate pricing.

Coordinate with the project team and design department for thorough technical evaluations.

Negotiate with suppliers to ensure adherence to technical specifications and commercial terms.

Coordinate with suppliers for technical submittals for Operation/client approval.

Collect approved signed contracts, issuing one copy to the supplier and C&C Department for record-keeping.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Business Units, Contracts & Commercial (C&C) Department, and Design teams, to finalize contract versions and ensure smooth execution.

Liaise with the PSSC team to facilitate E-Auction processes, vendor onboarding, performance feedback, and internal stakeholder reviews.

Support the Category Manager in conducting annual vendor performance reviews and implementing corrective actions.

PRODUCT / PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:

Monitor the Procure Lens Dashboard to track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure procurement activities meet agreed timelines.

Maintain accurate records of contract logs, orders, and procurement activities to support transparency and compliance.

Coordinate the collection of valid In-Country Value (ICV) certificates from vendors and ensure records are updated for vendors with expired certificates.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering,  minimum of 7 years of relevant GCC experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Procurement, Contract and Category

Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure to ensure secure, stable, and high

Job Description:

fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade corporate networks and in-house servers

Install and integrate new server hardware and applications

Ensure network security, connectivity, and high availability

Monitor network performance (availability, latency, throughput, goodput) and identify weaknesses

Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN solutions

Support VoIP and CCTV infrastructure

Administer third-party applications and systems

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies
