ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Define project deliverables, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare and manage project schedules using software tools like Primavera, MS Project, or similar. Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and priorities. Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules, coordinating technical and engineering activities to ensure alignment with project goals. Develop systems and procedures for Project control functions on the onset of the project and as and when there are additional requirements from the client in order to facilitate the process of project monitoring. Producing Progress Measurement Systems. Development of corrective action plans/schedules when required. Develop, implement & maintain the project controls procedure, project schedules (level 1-4), and reporting systems specific to project. Provide guidance to the project control team working for the project. Cost Management: Oversee project budget development and ensure financial control through cost estimation and monitoring. Track project costs, ensuring the project stays within budget. Provide regular financial reporting to senior management, highlighting any deviations from the budget. Extension of Time (EOT) Requests Prepare and submit Extension of Time requests to clients, ensuring all delays are accurately recorded, justified, and in line with contract stipulations. Work closely with project teams to determine the root causes of delays and evaluate their impact on project timelines. Ensure that EOT requests are fully supported by relevant documentation such as progress reports, delay logs, contractor communications, and meeting minutes. Negotiate with clients and stakeholders to reach amicable agreements on time extensions, providing clear evidence and rationale for each request. Delay Analysis Conduct thorough delay analyses using various industry-standard techniques (e.g., Critical Path Method (CPM), Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, etc.) to evaluate and quantify delays. Identify the critical path of the project and assess how changes, disruptions, or delays have impacted the project schedule. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect and analyze data on actual project progress versus planned schedules. Provide recommendations to mitigate delays and offer solutions to recover lost time, ensuring minimal impact on project completion dates. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Primary focal point for the Project Manager, Client or Project Team for all matters related to Project Controls including cost, schedule, risk, resources management and document controls.
